So wonderful to 'meet' you. I do work on orifices and enjoys and appreciate the thorough work you did on orifices. We test non-Newtonian fluids in laminar flow. I was looking for an ISSN number for that journal and was taken to your website! I was pleased to see you are still in academia.

Excellent site, very impressive masha'Allah. Highlights the achievements and fine points of the personality of Alvi Saheb whom I have had the pleasure and honour of knowing now for nearly thirty years. It is however unfortunate that he has not posted any photograph of the first 40 years of his life spent in India. Lucknow, Aligarh and Bangalore laid the foundation of the elegant structure he is but it seems he does not want to share the glory of those places with the readers. Loyalty to Pakistan does not and should not mean forgetting and ignoring everything Indian despite how important it may have been in one's life. I hope he will let us benefit from his experiences there.

I found your webpage, while surfing aimlessly through the web. It is very interesting to read this short autobiography of a hard-working Muslim scholar. However, you didn't mention when you became a Pakistani national.
